About Ukrainian National Youth Federation of Canada
The Ukrainian National Youth Federation (UNYF) was founded on July 27th, 1934 in the prairie city of Saskatoon, and quickly spread throughout the country. For which we have to thank the dedication and efforts of UNYF's first President, later on Canadian Senator, Paul Yuzyk.
The UNYF, together with its parent body, the Ukrainian National Federation of Canada, is dedicated to preserving Ukrainian Canadian history and the Ukrainian cultural heritage. We strive to unite Ukrainian Canadian youth nationally, regardless of their Christian religious demonstration or democratic political beliefs, to strengthen the Ukrainian Canadian community, promote good citizenship within a multicultural Canadian society, and support a free and democratic Ukraine.

Our Activities
UNYF is a place for youth between the ages of 14 and
30 to gather, hang-out, share ideas, host events, create lasting friendships and
promote the importance of the Ukrainian culture and community in Canada.
How it Works
UNYF members in each city belong to a branch with its
own elected president and executive members. All branches are united under the
umbrella of a national executive which coordinates activities and represents the
UNYF nationally. Branch delegates meet annually in a national convention to
review and plan the organization's work and elect the national executive.
